Captive bred in the UK 
Larvae feed on decayed leaves of oak/beech some decayed oak/beech wood can also be used. We also reccomend the use of dried gamarus shrimp for extra protein. Flake soil will also help to produce larger specimens. 
Egg - Adult - Most specimens will become adult within 12-15 months - however some individuals delay their pupation as a mechanism to prevent inbreeding and can take significantly longer (up to 2 years) 
Temperature range - 20 - 24 degrees C
Adults can live up to 6 months and feed on ripe fruit and beetle jelly.
