Phalacrognathus muelleri - Rainbow stag beetle 2nd Instar x 1

Rainbow stag beetles - These larvae are captive bred in the UK and are feeding well on Flake Soil. 
The parents were the green/red form like the one displayed in the image shown. 
 
We recommend to keep them on Flake soil diet and not transfer them to a simpler diet like Oak mulch. It is ok to try them on even higher quality Kinshi diet if you are able to find a source of it, but this tends to be more difficult here in the UK. It is a more expensive diet but will generally yield bigger adults.  
 
Ideal temperature for these larvae is 22 - 24 degrees C but they will tolerate some fluctuations.
